First things first, quer dizer:  aquilo que tem que ser feito, na ordem de prioridade, de importância de cada coisa.  Aí , tem alguns verbos que combinam bem com essa expressão. Por exemplo:
Put first things first - Colocar o que tem que ser feito na ordem de prioridade
Do first things first - Fazer o que tem que ser feito na ordem de prioridade
Think of first things first -Pensar nas prioridades
Deal with first things first - Lidar com as prioridades
Take care of first things first - Cuidar de tudo que for mais importante
