Courses abroad

The students of Curso de Comunicação em Língua Inglesa were able to learn more about courses abroad last week. They were able to get information about the options, prices and dates so that they can make plans for the future.
Going abroad is an excellent opportunity to meet new people, visit new places and practice their English. :)

Nossos alunos do Curso de Comunicação em Língua Inglesa puderam conhecer um pouco mais sobre cursos no exterior na semana passada. Foi possível conseguir informações sobre as modalidades de curso, valores e datas para poderem começar a fazer planos para o futuro.
Uma viagem ao exterior é sempre uma ótima oportunidade para conhecer novas pessoas, novos lugares e praticar Inglês. :)

Yard Sale 2012

On May 2nd and 3rd our students took part in our annual Yard Sale. The aim of this activity is to discuss about the American Culture, the importance of reusing objects to save the environment, the value of these objects and the practice of conversation in English.

Nos dias 2 e de 3 de maio nossos alunos participaram de mais uma edição do Yard Sale. O objetivo dessa atividade é falar sobre cultura Americana, a importância de reutilizar objetos para não prejudicar o meio ambiente, o valor dos objetos e a prática de conversação em Inglês.

American Cookies

Our Teens 2 students baked some delicious cookies yesterday.
The recipe is simple and the whole class was conducted in English.

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, andbaking powder. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

Grammar Hint

Present Perfect: have / has + past participle

When we use the Present Perfect the action in the past has a connection with now.

Ex: Susan really loves that film. She´s seen it eight times.

Susan has seen the film eight times from a period of time that continues from the past until now.

Cooking Class

Teacher Ana Paula and her students had a blast learning new vocabulary and practicing conversation in a fun cooking class on April 20th. Everything looked delicious!!!!

Teacher Ana Paula e seus alunos se divertiram muito aprendendo novo vocabulário e praticando conversação numa aula de culinária muito legal no dia 21 de abril. Tudo estava com uma cara deliciosa!!!

Formatura Curso de Comunicação em Língua Inglesa

Dia 14/04/12 tivemos mais uma formatura do Curso de Comunicação em Língua Inglesa. Estamos muito felizes pela conclusão dessa etapa e desejamos muito sucesso a esses alunos tão queridos.

Fashion Show! (Curso de Comunicação em Língua Inglesa)

Last week Teacher Ana Paula had a Fashion Show with her students. It was a nice opportunity to practice new vocabulary and conversation.

Na semana passada a Teacher Ana Paula fez um desfile de modas com seus alunos. Foi uma boa oportunidade para treinar o vocabulário novo e praticar conversação.
